Willetton Senior High School offers a range of opportunities in the study of English.
At all levels, students are able to study mainstream English or English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD). Modified and Foundation classes are offered to students who require additional support. The specific study of Literature is introduced in Year 10 through the Extension English pathway.
EALD has strict eligibility requirements which parents are advised to check with the EALD staff in the Languages Learning Area.
The English Department also offers opportunities for students to participate in:
- WADL Debating
- Writer’s Club
- Writing Competitions
- The Rotary 4 Way Speaking Competition (and many other public speaking competitions)
