Tutor groups are made up of a teacher and other students in your year. You will be told your tutor group and given your timetable on your first day of school. Tutor group time is the last 15 minutes of your Session 2 class.

Tutor Groups are;

• where you meet people and make new friends
• great, because if you have a problem you are able to work it out
• where you get important information
• where outings can be planned
• a big help when settling into school
• a place to talk about the good things

Remember

• If you are away, ask your parents to phone or SMS the school before 9.00am. If no call is received, they will get a text message informing them of your absence.
• If you are late to school, you must have permission from home in the form of a note or phone call. You must sign in at the Student Services Centre on your arrival, before going to class.
• If you need to leave school during the day, you must have permission either by letter or by phone from home. You can go to the Student Services Centre before school, recess or lunch for a Leave Pass. If returning to school that day, you must sign back in at Student Services when you re-enter.

Session 1         8:30am to 9:30am

Session 2        9:30am to 10:45am

Recess             10:45am to 11:15am

Session 3        11:15am to 12:15pm

Session 4        12:15pm to 1:15pm

Lunch               1:15pm to 1:45pm

Session 5        1:45pm to 2:45pm

There are no sirens to announce the start or end of sessions so your own timetable should show the times of sessions. You should use your watch to make sure you arrive for each session promptly.

If you feel upset about anything or if someone is giving you a hard time or making you feel uncomfortable, please go to Student Services. Everyone at our school has the right to feel safe and happy.

Are located in the Health Centre.  They are here to help you with first aid when needed.

1. Where are the toilets? There are toilet facilities for students located in each of the major classroom blocks.
2. Am I allowed to bring my phone? Yes. Appropriate use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is covered in our school policies.
3. What do I do if I am lost? Go to the nearest person and ask.
4. Do I need a uniform? Yes. We expect all students to be in school uniform from their first day.
5. What do I do if I feel sick? If you feel unwell, please go to the First Aid Officer.
6. How do I order my lunch? Lunch orders are taken from 7.00am onwards at the Canteen windows facing the quadrangle.
7. Where do I leave my bicycle when I get to school? The bike racks are found at the front of the school. Please park bikes in an orderly fashion. It is advisable to bring a chain and lock your bike to one of the racks.
8. Does a siren announce the beginning and end of session? No. Session times are shown on your timetable and you must check your watch or classroom clock to make certain that you are on time.
9. Am I allowed to wear my physical education gear for the day when I have PE on my timetable? No. You are allowed to wear PE gear to school if you have PE Session 1. Similarly you may wear PE gear home if you have PE Session 5. You may not wear PE gear during other classes.
10. What do I do if I feel I am being bullied or I am in need of help? Go immediately to the Student Services Centre.
11. What do I do if I get into trouble? Go and see your Year Coordinator. You will find them in the Student Services Centre
